Speaking in Ballarat today, the Premier says we can expect to see more weekend trains on the Ballarat line from April 13th.

Passengers will benefit from 33 extra services, with weekend trains running every 40 minutes between 8am and 9pm for the first time.

Most weekend bus services that connect to trains on the Ballarat line will also now run every 40 minutes.

“All of this means that there’s more opportunities for regional passengers to travel when they want to travel,” Premier Allan said.

“These additional services are targeted at late night and weekend services, providing more options, more choice and more chances for people to travel around the state.”

Train frequency on the Ararat, Warrnambool and Bendigo lines will also be increased.
