Two children hospitalised in separate Ballarat collisions

Two children have been hospitalised in separate Ballarat collisions this morning.

A 10-year-old child was hit by a vehicle whilst crossing Ballarat-Carngham Road in Winter Valley at around 8am.

The child has since been airlifted to Melbourne for treatment.

Around 20 minutes later, a 13-year-old child was struck by a bus whilst riding their bike in Forest Street, Wendouree.

The child was transported by road to the Ballarat Base Hospital, after being assessed by paramedics.

Police are urging all drivers to be aware of their surroundings and to ensure they abide by all road regulations, as the 2025 school year gets underway.
