Speed limits reduced in Linton and Smythesdale

Speed limits have been reduced in Linton and Smythesdale, in an aim to improve pedestrian safety.

In Linton, the speed limit has been changed from 60 to 50 kilometres an hour on Sussex Street from Gillespie Street to Grant Street.

In Smythesdale, the speed has changed from 60 to 50 on Brooke Street, from Verdon Street to Heales Street.

Mayor of the Golden Plains Shire, Brett Cunningham, said in a statement the council is pleased to see the reductions introduced to increase pedestrian safety for residents and visitors.
