Ballarat City Council will hold a special meeting today to discuss Ballarat’s badly damaged roads.
During the meeting Council will explain its approach to road maintenance and the challenges faced with wet-weather damaged roads
There are currently 814 road maintenance jobs waiting across the city, including for potholes, patching and maintenance.

The number of outstanding jobs is a 190% increase on this time last year.
103 new jobs were added between the 21st and 25th of November, with 61 completed.
Council says wet weather is an ongoing hurdle in completing requests, and it hopes to “significantly reduce the number of outstanding jobs over the coming months” as weather improves.
