Police are searching through bushland within the Enfield State Park, as the investigation into Samantha Murphy’s disappearance continues.
Specialist units will join Missing Person Squad investigators today as they focus on trying to find Ms. Murphy’s body.
Police urge members of the public to not join today’s search efforts.
The search will focus on an area highlighted by police intelligence.
It’s now been over two months since the 51-year-old was last seen leaving her Eureka Street home, with a large-scale search of the Buninyong area last month failing to locate any trace of Samantha.
A 22-year-old man was charged with murder on March 6th in relation to Samantha’s disappearance and was subsequently remanded in custody to appear at the Ballarat Magistrates Court on August 8th.
Anyone with information on Ms. Murphy’s disappearance is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
