Safety upgrades to be installed at notorious intersection

The City of Ballarat will upgrade safety at the Talbot and Darling Street intersection, following recent crashes.

Raised asphalted platforms and bollards, designed to slow down traffic as they approach the intersection, will be temporarily installed before a permanent solution is designed and implemented.

The final upgrades, which will include kerb nibbings and splitter islands, are expected to be completed by the end of this year.
