A proposed 58 turbine wind farm atop Mt Bolton and Mt Beckworth is again dividing opinion in the Waubra community.
A group called ‘No More Wind Farms for Waubra’ says a farm built by Acciona back in 2009 pitted neighbour against neighbour, with some farmers making tens of thousands of dollars a year by having turbines on their property near neighbouring homes, instead of their own.
The group says the proposed Nyaninyuk wind farm will have turbines three times the size of the current ones.
