Prestigious road cycling event to return to Ballarat

Australia’s premier road cycling event will return to Ballarat next year.

AusCycling is bringing the Road National Championships back to the city on January 4 to 7, with the country’s best elite, under-23, junior, club cyclists and para-cyclists battling it out for the green-and-gold national jerseys.

It comes as the City of Ballarat last night agreed to a one-year funding agreement to host the event.

The championships have delivered an average economic impact of $4 million per year to Ballarat over the last five year, as well as promoting the city to a national and international audience.
