Number of Ballarat building approvals drop

While building approvals have risen slightly in Victoria, the number of approvals have dropped in Ballarat.

Seasonally adjusted, the state saw an increase of 1.7% in June, however locally just 79 new approvals were made according to ABS data.

That’s down from 83 last month and is the lowest number reported all year.

Nationally, a drop of 7.7% was observed for June, however the total value of buildings rose by 1.2%
