The Royal South Street Society will launch its 2024 Eisteddfod in under a weeks’ time however once again they won’t be in their spiritual home.

Her Majesty’s Theatre remains off-limits as accessibility construction work continues funded by the State Government and City of Ballarat.

Judy-Ann Quilliam from the Society says they’ll be using multiple alternate venues again this year.

“We’re not at Her Majesty’s Theatre this year.”

“We’ve been in contact with the City of Ballarat right throughout the year, so we know how that is progressing.”

“If there’s some stroke of magic that maybe gets us in for our Graceful Solo, that might be a very slim possibility, but really we are at Founders Hall for our larger disciplines” Ms. Quilliam said.

The Eisteddfod gets underway on July 22 with the Debating program at ACU in Mair Street Ballarat and culminates in October with Calisthenics.
