Locals may soon be able to access faster internet speeds and better coverage, as work to upgrade the NBN fixed wireless network in the Ballarat and Golden Plains region continues.
Some of the work underway includes introducing new technology and replacing hardware on fixed wireless towers.
The NBN says upgrades in Alfredton and Haddon will mean some homes and businesses in the area may experience an impact to their service over the coming weeks.

The company says they’re aiming to minimise service disruptions as much as possible, however there are occasions where towers may be taken offline.
NBN Co. says they appreciate the community’s patience while work is underway.
