The man accused of stealing money from a GoFundMe account, set up to support the family of allegedly murdered Clunes woman Hannah McGuire, has fronted court.
26-year-old Lachlan Morganti appeared in the Ballarat Magistrates Court yesterday, charged with theft offences.
The newsroom understands the Winter Valley man allegedly stole over $60,000 from the fundraising campaign between five days in April.

Mr. Morganti’s case was adjourned, and he is due to return to court next month.
In April, the body of Ms. McGuire was found in a burnt-out car at Scarsdale.
Her former partner has been charged with her murder.
