The Bridge Mall Traders Association has urged the public to be patient and to continue supporting their businesses.
The City of Ballarat is currently investing close to $19 million in the Bakery Hill precinct for a much-needed makeover, with workers currently on site.
The association’s Shane Donnithorne says he expects to see some concrete poured by late this month or early October.

“[Construction workers] have started [at] the Peel Street end and they’re working up to the central part of the mall,” he said.
“They’ve done all the groundworks, put all the drainage in, built up the area and they’re about to concrete that section from the middle back to Peel Street, so that’s sort of the first stage that’s underway.”
