Ballarat’s short film festival Poco is looking to expand to two days, after a successful first year.
Organisers say entries are already flowing in for next year’s event, with prize money now topping $12,000.
Luke Keys says wining an innovation award through the NBN recently will give the festival a real shot in the arm.
“I guess when we started this, we didn’t know where we could take this,” he said.
“We just sort of had this hope that Poco could grow into something, and I think this sort of award really recognises the effort the team’s been putting in and it sets us up for potential growth.”
The festival returns August 3rd next year.
