A Ballarat police officer has raised thousands of dollars to combat bullying and its impacts on young people’s mental health.
Joel Dash from the Ballarat Proactive Policing Youth Tasking Unit walked 200 kilometres in June, raising money for Dolly’s Dream Foundation.
Sergeant Dash smashed his initial target of $1,000, raising $8,285 in 30 days.

Mr. Dash says we all need to be committed to changing the culture of bullying and a simple smile can change someone’s entire day.
