New data from Ambulance Victoria shows paramedics in the Grampians region are getting to the most critically ill patients faster than a year ago.
In the Ballarat local government area, paramedics attended 79.4 per cent of Code 1 patients within 15 minutes – the third best result in the state.
Response times to Code 1 cases were 18 seconds faster than a year ago.

July to September saw ambulances across Victoria called to more than 96,500 Code 1 cases, 2,002 more than last year.
