Local agriculture businesses encouraged to move into tourism

Local agriculture businesses are being encouraged to diversify into tourism.

‘Agritourism’ is seen as a fast-growing industry that connects visitors with authentic agricultural experiences on farms and rural land.

Tourism Midwest Victoria board member Tim Chandler says it can provide a handy new revenue stream.

“It offers businesses the ability to generate additional income, diversify their operations [and] showcase the region in a really unique way to attract new visitors,” he said.
