The Mars Wrigley Foundation has made a significant donation to the Ballarat Foundation.
The Foundation will be given $150,000 to be put towards the redevelopment of Chatham House as it transforms into a collaborative space for not-for-profits.
Ballarat Foundation CEO Andrew Eales says the move opens the door for potentially more American funding.
“We’ve had to go through a whole certification process because they are actually based in the United States.”
“One of the great parts of that process is that now the Ballarat Foundation is eligible and accessible for funders in the US to support great outcomes for the Ballarat community,” Mr. Eales said.
Works at Chatham House (soon to be known as Hugh Williamson House) are expected to be complete by October this year.
