One of Australia’s most notorious paedophile priests, Gerald Ridsdale, has died aged 90 in prison.
The former Catholic priest served at a number of parishes around regional Victoria during his 30-year span of terror, abusing at least 72 child victims.
Mr. Ridsdale was first sentenced in 1993 for the abuse of children, later pleading guilty to dozens of sexual abuse charges in towns including Ballarat, Horsham and Warrnambool.

He was due to face court again this week relating to the abuse of six more children.
