Gender gaps closing across Grampians region, according to report

A new report shows progress is being made with gender equity across the Grampians region, although challenges still remain.

The data has come to light through a fresh report from Women’s Health Grampians, the first time it’s been updated since 2018.

Women’s Health Grampians’ Rose Durey says the initial study found some disturbing gender gaps.

“We’ve just released this new report in 2024, and what we’re seeing is actually that gap is closing, the trends are changing for the positive,” she said.

“That gap is closing across a number, but not all, indicators.”
