It went down to the wire in the Ballarat Football League grand final, but Darley emerged the victors against North Ballarat in a Saturday afternoon thriller.
The Devils won by just a single point at City Oval, 11.5.71 to North Ballarat’s 10.10.70, making it their first premiership since 2017.
Despite Darley trailing the Roosters at three quarter time by 14 points, the Devils surged late in the last quarter, with Billy Myers kicking the match-winning goal in the game’s final seconds.
Billy was awarded AFL Victoria’s award for best on ground, whilst North’s Riley Polkinghorne was awarded the Roy Edwards Memorial Trophy.
