Ballarat still remains popular with city dwellers looking for a tree change, according to a new regional mover’s report.
During the June quarter, the Regional Australia Institute found Ballarat was regional Victoria’s fourth most popular local government area for both country and city movers.
Since the March quarter, Ballarat recorded a rise of 0.2 per cent in city dwellers moving to the region.

However, the city also recorded a 0.5 per cent drop in regional residents making the area their new home.
In regional Victoria, the Greater Geelong area was most popular among movers.
