New data from RPM has shown Ballarat land buyers are choosing to buy smaller blocks.
The median block size sold across the June quarter was 448 square metres, with a price tag of just over $302,000.
Luke Kelly from RPM says it appears to be about affordability.

“The lots that are left over at the end [of the quarter] were a little bit bigger than the 448 square metres, so that indicates people have chosen those slightly smaller lots, because of probably affordability,” he said.
