The Ballarat Wildlife Park is playing its part in global animal conservation.
Yesterday a critically endangered Tree Kangaroo touched down in Adelaide from Paris, next it’ll make its way to Ballarat after a period in quarantine.
Julia Leonard, the parks curator, says it’s part of an important breeding program.

“She’s coming to us to pair up with Kombai.”
“There’s less than 50 in zoos legally worldwide,” Ms. Leonard said.
It’s been a busy period for the park, not only celebrating its 40th anniversary but also welcoming two new Tasmanian Devils this week.
