The son of Ballarat Miners legend, Eric Cooks has been selected for the Boomers Olympics squad.
Ballarat-born Xavier Cooks is one of the 22-player squad up for selection in the Boomers Olympic team, with the final 12 announced later this year.
Former coach for the Miners, Brian Goorjian, will lead the Boomers to a fourth Olympics as Head Coach.

In a statement, Mr. Goorjian said they’ve been actively monitoring Aussie players across international leagues, as well as domestically in the NBL, and they’re confident in the potential chemistry of the squad.
The 2024 Paris Olympics kicks off from July 26.
