Ballarat Kart Club hosts round 1 of the popular Victorian Country Series at its recently upgraded and extended circuit.

Up to 250 competitors from around Victoria and interstate are expected to battle, packing out the Haddon venue.

Entrants range from the amateur enthusiast to the career professional, past winners include Scott McLaughlin, Todd Hazelwood and Anton DePesquale.

Classes cover ages from 7 to 60+, and #GirlsRaceToo is an important part of the sport.

Spectator entry is free, and the club welcomes families new to motorsport to come along and learn what’s involved.
