Three of Ballarat’s best set to shine at prestigious World Athletics event tomorrow

It’s been confirmed that Ballarat will now have three athletes competing at the prestigious Maurie Plant meet in Melbourne tomorrow.

This is the first major meet of the outdoor season and the opening World Athletics Continental Tour Gold event.

It was confirmed only yesterday that Ballarat Gift winner Nyajima Jock will run in the women’s 200 meters, she’ll compete alongside sprinter Cooper Sherman and Olympic high-jumper Yual Reath.

Nyajima has had a break-out year smashing local Ballarat records in the 100m, 200m and 400m events.
