Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating following a car crash in Meredith yesterday afternoon.
It is understood a stolen white Nissan Patrol ute was travelling northwest on the Midland Highway, when it crashed into trees near Doyles Road just after 2pm.
The driver, a 31-year-old Delacombe man, and the passenger, a 30-year-old man from Armstrong were both airlifted to hospital where they remain with life-threatening injuries.

Police are now working to establish the circumstances of the crash.
