Work continues behind the scenes to re-open Ballarat’s iconic Regent Cinema.
The Regent suddenly shut around a month ago shocking Ballarat movie goers and leaving 25 people out of work.
Local liquidator Justin Howlett, of SMB Advisory, says they have meetings this week with a handful of interested parties.

“We’re still all heading in the right direction, and hopefully not too far away from finalising a deal,” Mr. Howlett said.
Previously Mr. Howlett had stated that the owners of the building were keen to see it remain as a movie theatre, further enhancing its chances of opening again one day.
