The 12th best high jumper in the world, Ballarat’s Yual Reath, has finally been told he’s on the Australian Olympic team.
The Wendouree star has had an outstanding year that featured a personal best jump of two metres thirty.
Yual says it’s been a frustrating wait.

“It’s definitely added a lot of pressure, especially since everything’s being coming together slowly [and] we wanted to know now because there was only a month left until everything started kicking off,” he said.
Yual will compete at two Diamond League meets before the Paris Olympic Games, one in Monaco and the other in London.
