Police on the hunt for Daylesford jewellery thief

Detectives are on the hunt for a burglar who stole a collection of precious jewels from a Daylesford store.

The jewellery store on Vincent Street was reportedly broken into at around 3:40am on February 27th.

Police believe the person stole $100,000 worth of unique jewellery and designer bags, after smashing a number of display cases.

The haul included bracelets, rings, earrings, broaches and necklaces.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity during that time or has been offered jewellery for sale.
