Fire authorities are treating a bushfire that started late Wednesday at Dereel, south of Ballarat, as suspicious.
110 hectares were burnt before the fire was contained, with one building destroyed by the blaze.
Several fire crews remain on the scene working to extinguish the flames.
It follows the now-contained blaze at Bayindeen which burnt through 22 thousand hectares and destroyed six homes.
Luke Hegarty from the State Control Centre says they’re not expecting severe fire conditions again until next week.
“[Wednesday] looks like the next day where we might see some increased fire danger, but we’ll be waiting for some advice from the Bureau of Meteorology about that before we commence our planning for that day,” he said.
