The 66-year-old driver from Mount Macedon was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives say the exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined with investigations ongoing.

Hepburn Shire Council Mayor, Brian Hood, says the crash will have a severe impact on the community for some time.

“This is a devastating accident. [It’s] very unusual for us to have accidents of this size and scale around this area,” he said.
