The growth in girls football continues to gain momentum locally.
The Ballarat Football Netball League confirming today they’ll introduce an under 12’s age group from next season after a successful trial with AFL Goldfields this year.
The BFNL says four smaller grounds will be used on the main grounds in a family friendly atmosphere.

“The league is experiencing tremendous growth in the lower age groups of female football and the addition of an Under 12 Girls competition to compliment the BFLW’s strong numbers will further strengthen and develop the growing BFLW competition,” a league spokesperson said.
Further details around the format, structure and fixtures will be released at a later date.
