Ballarat headquartered Federation University has today announced it will close its Brisbane campus next year.
Vice Chancellor Professor Duncan Bentley sighting COVID challenges and external factors for low enrolment numbers.
Federation also says it has come to an agreement with Monash University to take over full control of its Berwick campus.
“After careful consideration, Federation University Australia has made the difficult decision to close its Brisbane Campus in 2024,” Professor Bentley said in a statement.
“The University is focused on assisting our students and staff as we aim to minimise the impact on all affected individuals.”
“In line with our Campus Vision and in support of the ongoing implementation of our Co-operative Education Model, we are increasing activities and supporting our growing number of students in Victoria,” Professor Bentley said.
It is unclear whether job losses are involved in Brisbane.
