A new ambulance station at Avoca is one step closer, with the contractor appointed for the project.
With works set to start in the next few weeks, Bowden Corporation will construct the new multi-million-dollar station on Rowe Street.
The facility will feature a three-bay garage for ambulances, two rest and recline areas, training facilities and improved security and car parking.

The station is one of six stations to be built or currently under construction in the state, helping Victorian paramedics work from safe home bases.
