A Ballarat company that turns plastic milk bottle lids into everyday products has passed an impressive milestone.
Zero Plastics Australia who make everything from USBs to clipboards and earrings have now processed more than 1 million of them.
The company’s founder Adam Slater says there’s numerous places around Ballarat where you can drop off your lids.
“You can donate your lids to Lids for Kids Australia which is a charity organisation that takes pretty much all the plastic lids that we drink from.”
“There’s lots of collection points like Runway Ballarat in Albert Street and the tenpin bowling alley.”
“Once they go to them, we purchase the number 4 lids and then use them with our machinery to turn them into brand new products,” Mr. Slater said.
